Medical college and university fees in Ukraine
Fees are set by each university. This guide shows you how to read an official fee schedule, what to ask the university and how to compare like with like. We list a fee only after checking it on the university's own schedule, with the date.
How to read and compare a fee schedule
Look for the fee table or signed fee order on the university's own website, for example in its section for international students. Before you compare two universities, check that each figure states the same five basics:
- Academic year: the year it applies to, for example 2026/27. A table from an earlier year is not the current fee.
- Currency: the one the fee is quoted in and the one it is collected in. If they differ, ask which exchange rate applies, and on which day.
- Period: per year, per semester or for the whole programme, and whether the amount changes between years of study.
- Teaching language: if the programme is taught in more than one language, which stream the fee is for.
- Exclusions: what the fee does not cover and is charged separately.
Compare two figures only when all five basics match. A fee for a different year, currency or period is not comparable, even if the numbers look close.
When we list a fee, it shows the amount, currency, period and academic year exactly as the university states them, with any year-by-year amounts or payment schedule and the date we checked it; the university's profile names the official source. Ask the university about the teaching language and the exclusions, because a fee table rarely states them. We never convert or average fees, and we never copy a figure from an agency or other third-party website.
Questions to ask the university about fees
Copy these into your email to the university, or print this page and tick each one off as you get an answer. Ask for the answers in writing.
- The five basics above. Ask for any that the schedule does not state.
- Is this the current fee schedule for my intake, and where is it published on your website?
- Does the fee depend on my nationality or citizenship?
- What is charged separately? For example: a preparatory course, hostel, medical insurance, a medical examination, an invitation letter or registration.
- Can the fee change in later years of study? If so, how and when will I be told?
- Is there a payment schedule? How much is due, and when?
- How do I pay, and to which account? Is that account named in your own official documents?
- What happens to fees already paid if I withdraw, or if my visa is refused?
MBBS fees in Ukraine
“MBBS” is how many applicants search. In Ukraine, medicine is taught under each university's own programme and qualification title, which we show on its profile once verified. Whether it is accepted in place of an MBBS is decided by your home regulator.
How much does it cost to do MBBS in Ukraine?
It depends on the university, the programme and your intake, so ask for the figure that applies to you. To get one you can rely on:
- Find the medicine programme on the university's own website.
- Open the fee schedule for your intake and check the five basics.
- Send the university the questions above about anything the schedule leaves out.
- Add the costs that tuition does not cover (see below) before you compare universities.
When we verify a university's fee, we add it to the table below.
Cost of medical education in Ukraine: what a total includes
Tuition is only part of the cost. When you budget, ask about or allow for:
- University charges: anything the university lists besides tuition, for example application or registration fees, invitation-letter processing, or medical insurance if the university arranges it. Ask for the full list.
- Accommodation: ask whether the university offers hostel places and at what price, or budget for private rental.
- Living costs, visa fees, travel, document translation and legalisation: these vary by person and country.
- Any fee for our services: charged by Ukraine Medical Admissions, not the university, and stated in writing before you choose any paid service. No service fee is charged to start an application.
Any total cost we show in future will list its parts, sources and dates. An estimate is never a guaranteed total.
Questions applicants ask about cost
What is the fee for MBBS in Ukraine at a specific university?
Look for the university in the table below. If it is not there, we have not verified its fee yet: ask the university for its current schedule, using the questions above.
What does the tuition fee not include?
Ask the university what is charged separately, and budget for the costs listed under what a total includes.
Can fees be paid in instalments?
Ask whether the university publishes a payment schedule, for example per semester, and get it in writing. We never promise an arrangement the university has not published.
Do fees change after you enrol?
Ask whether the schedule gives an amount for each year of study, and whether the fee can be revised for later years.

Fees for Indian students
Cost of MBBS in Ukraine for Indian students
The fee that applies to you is the one in the university's official schedule for your programme and intake. Ask the university whether its fee depends on nationality or citizenship; if a schedule we verify prices by nationality, the university's profile will say so. Then compare universities using the five basics and the questions to ask.
Recognition in India
Whether you can practise after graduating is decided by the authorities in the country where you plan to work, not by any university or by us. In India, the National Medical Commission (NMC) sets the rules that doctors who studied abroad must meet; registration to practise is a separate step under those rules. Read the NMC's current rules on its own website before you apply.
